Hannah Bloom is a director, cinematographer, editor, and visual artist based in Waterford. She is the co-founder of the production collective Greener Grass Films. With a background in Fine Art Media from the National College of Art and Design (BA, 2017) and a diploma in Film from Pulse College Dublin (2023), her work bridges the worlds of film, experimental media, and visual storytelling.

Hannah has worked across documentaries, short films, music videos, experimental cinema, and audiovisual design for theatre. Her recent short documentary Der Veg Abhaile (2024), funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs, featured director Lenny Abrahamson and a score by composer Stephen Rennicks. She was awarded the Emerging Artist Bursary by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council in 2024. That same year, she directed a documentary on the Venice Biennale, commissioned by artist Eimear Walshe. In 2023, she held a solo exhibition of experimental film with Screen Service Ireland, titled S0CRATES. Her audiovisual design work for Persona Metropolitana (2023) was nominated for Best Design Ensemble and the PromptPad Technical Innovation Award at the Dublin Fringe Festival.

Hannah Bloom’s work explores the intersections of internal consciousness, sensory perception, and our evolving relationship with both the arts and the land.
